Features and Highlights

Identity Guard® Total Protection® provides more benefits than the competition - too many to list completely, but here are three of the highlights:

3 Bureau Credit Monitoring - This is a feature that sets Identity Guard® ahead of the competition. They monitor your credit at the three major Credit Reporting Agencies - Equifax, Experian and Transunion. This is a daily process and you will receive prompt alerts of new credit applications, credit cards, mortgages, or loans in your name.

Social Security Monitoring - Identity Guard® continuously monitors thousands of databases, and will alert you when your SSN is detected. This gives you time to re-secure your data before an identity thief can do further harm.

Online “Black Market” Monitoring - Identity Guard® monitors the Internet 24/7 to see if your personal information are detected on black market websites, secret chat rooms, and underground forums. If they find something, you‘ll be promptly notified.

That’s just a few of the major benefits of Identity Guard®. Scan the site and you’ll find plenty more.

Family Focused Identity Theft Prevention

  • Goes one step further than basic credit and account monitoring by monitoring public records for certain information that may indicate fraud

  • Includes expert-created software to help keep your vulnerable technology secure

  • Provides customers with credit reports* based on data from 3 bureaus 4 times per year

  • The family plan has two different pricing options. For $26.99 a month a couple will receive the full benefits of Identity Guard Total Protection. For $27.99 two adults will receive the full Identity Guard package, and coverage for up to 15 children under the Identity Guard Kid Sure package that monitors websites for children’s names to help keep them safe

Sign Up Process

The sign up process for Identity Guard® is a pretty effortless affair. You first enter basic information, including your:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Home address

  • Phone number

  • Date of birth

  • Social Security Number

  • Credit card information

Identity Guard® will then use this information to verify your identity and access your credit bureau information. Your credit card information will also be collected for verification purposes, though it will not be charged until the trial period expires.

When your information has been verified, you will then be asked some basic questions relating to information that can be found on your credit report, to further verify and confirm your identity. This is part of how Identity Guard® and many other credit monitoring companies protect your identity while using their service.

Pricing Concerns

Identity Guard® Total Protection is currently offering a 30 Days trial for only $5. This will give you a full month to learn the program and to determine if it will meet your needs. You can cancel the service within the trial, otherwise the fee will be $17.99 per month, charged to your credit card. You can also cancel your membership at any time after the trial period ends, either through the Identity Guard® website, or by calling the customer care phone number.

Customer Support

Customer support from Identity Guard® is truly top of the line. You have several options - email, phone (toll-free) or by regular mail. You may however find that direct contact is unnecessary in most instances. Answers to most of your questions can easily be found on the Identity Guard® FAQS page.

If you’re looking for more detailed information, the Identity Guard® Resource Center is a superior source. There you can learn all about the technical issues that affect your credit report and credit scores, how to repair your credit, different types of identity theft, and how best to protect yourself and your information.

Ease Of Use

You enter on your Identity Guard® Home Page, which contains all of your summary information, including your representative credit scores. From there you can simply move to sub-screens with the click of your mouse, allowing you to get more detailed information, including:
